Midnight Ride

Midnight Ride is the English blend in Dan Tobacco's series referencing American history, named for Paul Revere's 1775 night ride. Virginia grades from three separate growing regions are combined with Oriental tobaccos and Cyprus Latakia, topped with a small amount of Perique. The Latakia proportion is noticeable; the blend gives a slow-burning, cool, smoky-spicy smoke.

The Virginia's sweetness forms a base beneath the Latakia and Oriental tobaccos, while the Perique adds a peppery sharpness. No casing is used, so the flavor comes entirely from the leaf composition. Suited to smokers accustomed to classic Latakia-heavy English blends looking for one long smoke during the day; not considered a starter blend for those unfamiliar with the scent of Latakia.
