Sweet Mango

Sweet Mango is the best-known blend in Dannemann's pipe tobacco line; for a long time it appeared on packaging as "Dannemann Original (Sweet Mango)." It is built from Maryland, Virginia, and Burley leaf. According to the maker's own account, the different tobacco types are processed and flavored separately before being combined with a heavy mango casing, producing a fruity, sweet profile.

Nicotine stays mild, making it suitable for smokers new to aromatic blends as well as those wanting a light smoke during the day. The brand originated in Brazil and is now run under the Switzerland-based Burger Söhne group, with pipe tobacco production carried out in Europe. Records indicate the blend has in recent years been offered under the name W.Ø. Larsen Standard Mixture No. 1, in new packaging but with the same mixture preserved.
