Ocean Blue

Ocean Blue is one of the more heavily cased blends in the Danish Danske Club series, previously listed in catalogues under the name Blue Sambuca. Like the rest of the series, it's built on Virginia, Burley, and black Cavendish leaf. The casing comes from sambuca liqueur and real licorice root, giving the blend an easily identifiable, sweet, anise-forward direction.

Nicotine sits between mild and medium. It's built for smokers looking for a strongly spiced, anise-leaning, clearly aromatic blend; it sits far from the profile of an unflavored Virginia or a Latakia mixture. The fine cut lights easily, though as is typical of heavily flavored blends, it calls for a slow, cool pace.
