50th Anniversary

50th Anniversary is a limited-edition pipe tobacco Davidoff released in 2018 for its fiftieth year. It's limited worldwide to six thousand numbered tins, with an anniversary emblem used on the tin. The Swiss-origin brand's pipe tobaccos are produced in Germany.

The blend's backbone consists of the virginia types Basis Blau 66 and Da Vinci, along with burley, black cavendish and Indian virginia from the Mysore region. Kir royal (a combination of blackcurrant liqueur and sparkling wine) and vanilla are used as flavoring, aiming for a creamy texture on the palate. It's loose cut, and black and gold leaves are seen mixed in the tin. Its nicotine is kept low, suiting those who love sweet, fruity aromatics.
