Meat Pie

Meat Pie is Drew Estate's English-style, latakia-heavy blend. It contains Cyprus latakia, Virginia leaf from America's Old Belt district, and oriental tobaccos. As the name suggests, the blend's character brings out baking spices, hickory smoke and a meaty, smoked tone; latakia takes the lead role in this picture while Virginia provides a measured sweetness in the background.

Though the body stays light to medium, the flavor intensity is pronounced; the smoke finishes with a creamy, roasted close. It's a blend for latakia lovers, particularly those wanting to taste the smoky character without it going overboard. Per records, production was limited to 2013, and the blend was later withdrawn from the market.
