Inns of Court

Inns of Court is Drucquer & Sons' burley-forward, American-style blend. White and brown burley are used alongside Virginia leaves; latakia and perique are added only as an accent. The cut is very fine ribbon, nearly shag-fine; this lets the blend catch easily.

Its character is nutty, earthy and lightly toasted; rather than bringing smokiness to the fore, latakia deepens the background. It's an in-between position for smokers who don't like heavy latakia but want the dry taste of English mixtures. Per brand records, the blend was one of the Drucquer shop's best-selling mixtures for decades and even reached the crew of Admiral Richard Byrd's second Antarctic expedition.
