Durbar

Durbar is one of Dunhill's classic oriental-forward mixtures. Per records, it was formed in the early 1910s with "eastern tobaccos" and its recipe has been updated several times over the years. In the blend the orientals take the lead role; latakia provides a smoky, woody base, while Virginia supplies a measured, meadow-like sweetness.

The body runs medium to full, and the smoke is dark and balanced, carrying floral and tannic tones. It's designed for experienced smokers accustomed to Balkan-style mixtures with a pronounced oriental character. Since pipe tobacco production under the Dunhill name has ended, the blend is not found on the market under its original name.
