London Mixture

London Mixture is Dunhill's medium-bodied latakia blend. Per the tin description, it consists of a combination of latakia, Virginia and Turkish tobaccos; because the oriental share is kept high, the mixture leans toward Balkan style. It's ribbon cut, ready to be packed straight from the tin.

On the smoke, latakia's sooty, woody core moves together with the Turkish tobaccos' spicy sharpness, while Virginia builds a sweet base underneath. Though rich in structure, it is soft and finishes without harshening the tongue; it makes a good starting point for those wanting to get to know classic English mixtures. Production under the Dunhill name has ended.
