Mr. Alfred's Own

Mr. Alfred's Own is among the Dunhill blends sold exclusively from the London shop. It stands apart within the English blending scheme by adding cigar leaf: its original version, sold in gold tins, is on record as containing Havana leaf, which gives the blend a sweetish, sharp edge. Latakia is kept balanced, not overpowering the other components.

The smoke is smooth and full, with moderate nicotine. With aging, the sharpness from the cigar leaf softens. Shop blends went out of production when the Murray's factory closed; today the blend can only be found in old tins.
