Black Cherry

Exclusiv Black Cherry belongs to the Exclusiv aromatic line of Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. in Kendal. Its base is double-fermented black cavendish; this process darkens the leaf's own sugar and gives a soft base for the flavouring to hold onto. A heavy cherry flavouring is applied on top. The product is sold as Exclusiv Black Cherry in the United Kingdom and as Top Black Cherry in the American market; in recent years the line's naming has been shortened to Exclusiv BC.

Unlike many examples in the aromatic market, the cherry flavouring doesn't lean toward candy and almond; it carries a darker, riper, lightly bitter black-cherry character instead. It is not heavy in nicotine, though the taste is perceived as full due to the intensity of the flavouring. It suits aromatic lovers who want to avoid overly sugary flavourings.
