Bird's Eye Flake

Bird's Eye Flake is part of the tobacco line carrying the name of the Danish pipe maker Former (Hans Nielsen), who has made pipes since 1956. Names in the line come from the grain patterns in briar burl; the bird's-eye figure is one of the names carrying on this tradition. The blend's backbone is built from selected Virginia leaves, with perique added as a spicy accent colour. The leaves are pressed in traditional layer-by-layer fashion, rested, and cut into flakes.
