Special Brown Flake

Special Brown Flake is a flake obtained by maturing pure Virginia leaves under pressure and slicing them. A light, rum-like top note reminiscent of sailors' rations is applied over it; this topping adds an alcoholic sweet edge to the blend without masking the Virginia character.

In the smoke, meadow-like tastes and dark, raisin-like fruit are balanced by a fresh tartness reminiscent of lemon peel. Since it is pressed tightly, it needs to be rubbed out, and it burns slowly; it is a blend prepared for smokers leaning toward flake culture and ripe Virginia sweetness.
