Abingdon

Abingdon is one of G. L. Pease's full-bodied, Balkan-style blends. A generous measure of Cyprus latakia is balanced with red and lemon-yellow Virginia leaves; rich Oriental leaf is added on top to build the blend's spicy layer.

Where Orientals stand sharper and more upfront in the brand's blends like Ashbury and Charing Cross, they step back a bit in Abingdon; the result is a structure more evenly distributed among Virginia, Oriental, and latakia. It is designed for smokers accustomed to latakia who want a bold but not scattered, dark and smoky smoke.
