Cairo

Cairo is a Latakia-free Virginia-Oriental blend. Exotic Oriental leaf and a very small amount of perique accompany red, orange, and light Virginia leaves; this structure makes the blend a non-smoky, spicy-sweet mixture.

The flavour profile carries a natural sweetness, a lightly nutty body, and fresh notes reminiscent of citrus; these fine notes balance the fuller tastes of darker Virginias. It is a medium-bodied blend with low flavouring; it suits those wanting to get to know the Oriental leaf's character without the shadow of latakia.
