Cairo (Original Mixtures)

Cairo is an untopped blend combining Virginia and Oriental leaves in a ribbon cut, with a small amount of Perique added. It sits on the Virginia-Oriental axis within G. L. Pease's Original Mixtures line. The tin's moisture level is directly suited to filling and burns without issue.

The flavour is built on Virginia's natural sweetness and the Oriental leaf's spicy, oily character; the Perique topping adds a peppery depth, which may stand out to a smoker unfamiliar with this leaf. Loose loading gives a smoky, cool smoke, while tight loading gives a longer, more flavour-intense one. It suits those wanting to get to know untopped Virginia-Oriental mixtures.
