Charing Cross is a G. L. Pease blend built in the traditional Balkan style. Selected Virginia leaves are enriched with a generous measure of smoky Cyprus latakia, with a spicy layer of Oriental tobaccos added on top.
According to the producer's own comparison, the Orientals in this blend are sharper and more upfront than in Abingdon; the result is a full-bodied, dark, layered smoke. It is aimed at smokers accustomed to classic latakia-heavy mixtures who want a full-bodied tobacco.
