Géométrie

Géométrie is the second entry in G. L. Pease's Zeitgeist series, reinterpreting the traditional Virginia-Oriental mould. Aged red Virginia leaves are layered with old-stock Basma and Izmir leaves; the blend is pressed and presented in plug form, and the smoker cuts or rubs out their own slice.

Because the plug form lets the leaves fuse together, the flavour feels settled even straight from the tin: malt sweetness, fine spice, and a light floral sharpness sit together. The same form also lends itself to long-term ageing; sources note the sweetness becomes more pronounced over the years. It suits smokers familiar with untopped Virginia-Oriental blends and preparing plug tobacco.
