JackKnife Ready Rubbed

JackKnife Ready Rubbed is the ready-rubbed form of the plug blend of the same name. Dark fire-cured Kentucky leaf and ripe red Virginias are layered over a golden flue-cured Virginia core sitting in the middle; the mix is pressed, matured into a cake, then sliced and turned into broken flake.

This process preserves the deep, smoky character of the plug form while making it easier to fill; the light Virginia layer at the core places a thin sweetness among the dark flavours. It suits smokers leaning toward Kentucky-heavy, highly full-bodied blends.
