Lagonda

Lagonda is a blend built by bringing together a generous amount of Cyprus latakia, ripe red Virginia, and Oriental leaf, with some bright Virginia added for sweetness. The mixture is pressed into plug form and aged; during this stage the flavours integrate and the leaves partially ferment. The plugs are later sliced and rubbed into ribbon form before boxing.

In the smoke, latakia and Oriental leaf lead, with the Virginia base providing support. Beneath a smoky, woody, earthy body sit spicy, lightly tart, and floral notes; when exhaled through the nose, a peppery sharpness comes through. It is a record aimed at smokers accustomed to classic blends with a high latakia proportion who are seeking a full smoke.
