Renaissance Reserve

Renaissance Reserve is among G. L. Pease's limited-production blends; records indicate only 500 tins were prepared. Cyprus and Syrian Latakia are used together, joined by Virginia leaves of varying maturity and Balkan Oriental leaf, and the mix is rested for months before boxing.

The proportion of the two latakia types is set so the Cyprus leaf doesn't overpower the Syrian leaf; the Oriental component is pronounced, while the Virginia trio establishes balance through the depth of the matured leaf, the tartness of the red, and the background support of the golden leaf. It is not in production today. It is meaningful for smokers wanting to get to know the classic Balkan line containing Syrian Latakia and for those with a collector's interest.
