Robusto

Robusto is a coarse-cut blend built by adding a measured amount of maduro cigar leaf over sweet Virginias, earthy Oriental leaves, and smoky Cyprus latakia. The cigar leaf is used not to take on the main character but to support the other leaves and give the smoke a creamy quality.

The tin aroma carries tart fruit, light spice, and smoke. The smoke is full, spicy, and complex; it is noted, however, not to be heavy on the tongue. It burns slowly. It is a record aimed at those coming from cigar smoking who want a similarly earthy richness in a pipe; records note it recalls the old Sobranie Virginia No. 10 blend.
