Sextant

Sextant is the fifth entry in the Old London Series, combining a classic mixture with the navy flake tradition. Ripe Virginia leaves are first blended with Cyprus latakia, quality Oriental tobaccos, and a small amount of dark fire-cured Kentucky; a touch of dark rum is then infused, and the mix is lightly pressed, matured, and sliced.

The smoke is full and satisfying. The rum infusion, combined with the dark fire-cured Kentucky, pressing, and fermentation, gives the blend its own distinctive sweetness and aroma; even so, the structure stays within the classic mixture line and does not cross into the aromatic class. It is a record aimed at smokers wanting to try a navy-style flake together with a Latakia mixture.
