Bob's Chocolate Flake

Bob's Chocolate Flake is a pressed flake blend made by combining Virginia leaves of Brazilian, Zimbabwean, and Malawian origin with some Malawi Burley and a small proportion of Latakia. It carries a cocoa-based sauce with chocolate and vanilla additions, accompanied by the distinctive floral Lakeland note characteristic of Gawith, Hoggarth production. The flakes rub out relatively easily, and since the moisture content tends to run high, a short airing before lighting helps.

In the smoke, a soft cocoa layer sits atop a sweet Virginia base; the Latakia does not give a dominant smokiness but instead builds a thin, woody frame that balances the sweetness. It is a cool, slow-burning blend with a below-average nicotine load. It suits smokers who want an aromatic tobacco but wish to avoid sugar-laden, heavy aromatics, as well as those who want to sample the Lakeland style in a moderate example.
