Bob's Chocolate Plug

Bob's Chocolate Plug is the pressed plug form of the same house's Bob's Chocolate Flake blend. The body is built from Virginia leaves sourced from Brazil, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, with a small proportion of Latakia and Malawi burley added. A cocoa bowl note and a measured touch of vanilla give the tobacco sweetness, but the topping is kept restrained so it doesn't overtake the leaf.

Because it comes as a plug, the smoker decides the slice thickness: a thin slice burns quickly and brings out the sweetness, while a thick slice or cube cut slows the burn. The presence of Latakia keeps the blend from being a pure sweet aromatic; it gives a medium-bodied smoke that moves back and forth between cocoa and smoke. It suits smokers used to working with plug tobacco who want a flavoured but not sugary taste.
