Tip:

Aromatic

Kesim:

Flake

İçerik:

Virginia, Burley

Aroma Katkısı:

Licorice Root, Fig, Tonka Bean

This is the liquorice-topped version of the Brown Flake family. Burley is added to Virginia leaves that have been pressed hot and darkened by stoving; liquorice root, fig, and tonka extract are then applied on top. This trio makes up the traditional topping line long used by Kendal houses.

Because the flakes are pressed tightly, rubbing them out gives a thick cut and a slow burn. The taste is built between Virginia's bread-like sweetness and liquorice's bittersweet edge; the tonka extract adds a heavy sweetness to the aroma. It suits a smoker used to Kendal-style topping, or one wanting to get to know this tradition, who is willing to work with a medium-bodied, flaked tobacco.
