Curly Cut Deluxe

Curly Cut Deluxe is produced by hot-pressing dark and light Virginia leaf, hand-twisting it into thick ropes, and then slicing those ropes into coin shapes. It comes from the same family as Curly Cut; the difference is that a twisting line producing thicker rope is used, giving noticeably larger slices. Since it's factory-sliced, the step of cutting from the rope is eliminated.

The blend contains no Perique or other topping; the taste rests entirely on Virginia. On the smoke, a malty sweetness reminiscent of dry hay and bread dough stands out, with a very fine Lakeland trace in the background. Because of the tight structure, the slices need to be rubbed out or packed folded; the burn is slow and cool. An entry suited to smokers seeking pressed Virginia taste in long sessions.
