Dark Flake

Dark Flake is an unflavored blend produced by combining Malawi-origin fire-cured leaf and Indian-origin air-cured dark leaf in equal proportions, then pressing and slicing them. No flavoring or topping is applied; the taste comes entirely from the leaves' curing method. The slices are dark, heavy, and oily.

On the smoke, the fire-cured leaf's smoky taste combines with the sweeter, cigar-like body of the air-cured dark leaf. Nicotine sits at the highest end of the catalog, though thanks to the pressed structure, the burn is slow and cool. Well suited to a small-chambered pipe, on a full stomach, and for short sessions. An entry for experienced smokers seeking dark, very strong tobaccos; not suited to those new to the pipe.
