Ennerdale Mixture

Ennerdale is one of the best-known examples of Kendal tradition (Lakeland) and is the crumbled, broken-flake presentation of the brand's flake-form Ennerdale product. African- and South American-origin Virginia leaf and Malawi Burley are selected for their sweetness and ability to absorb the topping; air-cured dark leaf cools the smoke and adds a woody, creamy texture.

The topping side is a compound top sauce made of rum, vanilla, citrus, almond, and floral essences; because of this, the blend's aroma is strong and lingering. Suited to smokers wanting a moderate-nicotine but flavor-intense blend, and to those wanting to get to know classic Lakeland style. Since it clings noticeably to jar and pipe, smoking it in a dedicated pipe is common practice.
