Kendal Bosun Flake

Kendal Bosun Flake is the sliced form of Gawith Hoggarth's Bosun family. Light Virginia and fire-cured dark Virginia are pressed together and flavored with clove and rose geranium essences. The pressed block is cut into slices; the slices are packed rubbed out or folded.

On the smoke, the floral note of rose geranium is felt first, followed by clove's spice as the bowl progresses. Underneath sits a sweet-hay, bread-crust, and woody body; the fire-cured leaf adds smoke and fullness to the taste. Nicotine is moderate. Suited to those wanting to try the classic English Lakeland style in flake form.
