Kendal Gold Peach

Kendal Gold is one of the shag-cut main bodies produced at Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Kendal workshop in Cumbria. Its base is a fine golden-hued cut of flame-cured bright Virginia leaf; the producer states it uses no other tobacco type in this series, only cleanly cut Virginia. The Kendal Gold body is offered with numerous different flavorings, and Kendal Gold Peach is this family's member flavored with peach essence.

Since the shag cut is fine and dry, it lights quickly; a slow draw is needed so the bowl doesn't burn too fast. The peach flavoring is layered over the Virginia base's citrusy sweetness, while nicotine stays moderate. Suited to those wanting a fine-cut, fruity everyday blend that isn't too heavy; also suited to use in small-chambered pipes.
