Kendal Scotch Cake

Kendal Scotch Cake is one of Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s pressed cake products and is usually offered broken up into large pieces. Its weight comes mainly from flame-cured Virginia; some sun-cured leaf is added to cool and sweeten the smoke. No essence or heavy sweetening is used.

The coarsely broken cake burns slowly and keeps the bowl cool; nicotine is low and the flavor structure mild and even. This makes it suitable for those new to the pipe, as well as for use as a blending base to soften blends considered heavier.
