Kendal Toffee

Kendal Toffee is a fine shag-cut aromatic in the Kendal series from the Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. factory in the Cumbrian town of Kendal. Its base carries a darker, more mature Virginia leaf than the one used in the house's lighter Kendal Gold line; this dark leaf's own sweetness combines with an English-style toffee flavor applied on top. The topping is pronounced, but the dark character of the base leaf remains felt underneath.

The fine shag cut makes the tobacco easy to pack and light; on the other hand, since it tends to burn fast, it calls for a slow draw.
