Kentucky CC Blending

Kentucky CC Blending isn't a blend but a blending ingredient. Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. sells single-leaf varieties unflavored and individually under the "CC" (coarse cut) label; this entry is the standalone offering of dark fire-cured Kentucky leaf. Fire-curing gives the leaf a heavy smokiness, a woody depth, and high nicotine.

While it can be smoked on its own, its real use is as a component smokers who build their own blends add in small proportions to give a mixture body, fullness, and a smoky base. It is unflavored; its strength is high, so it's heavy going on its own for a smoker unaccustomed to nicotine.
