No. 7 Broken Flake is built by adding a small amount of light flue-cured leaf to sun- and wood-fire-cured Virginias. Since the pressed slab is sliced and then broken up for sale, the cut carries a look somewhere between flake and ribbon; golden pieces show against the dark base.
The taste is earthy, smoky, and dry; it carries no essence. Nicotine is high. Suited to smokers seeking the pressed form of the same house's Kendal No.7 blend, who love dark, full-bodied Virginia.
