No. 7 Shag Unscented

No. 7 Shag is an unflavored shag-cut tobacco Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. has kept in production for decades, built from fire-cured and flue-cured Virginia leaf. Its character sits on an axis of earth, leather, and smoke; underneath, a light sweetness from the Virginia and a herbal-citrusy edge round it out.

This blend's base is also used in several of the house's Lakeland-style topped products; No. 7 Shag is the unflavored form of that same base. The very fine cut lights the tobacco easily, but packed tightly and drawn fast, the burn speeds up and heats up. Suited to smokers seeking the unflavored, smoky-earthy English shag style.
