Sliced Brown Twist U/S, as the abbreviation in the name indicates, is the factory-sliced form of unscented brown Burma. It's produced by hand-twisting dark fire-cured leaf into rope and carries no flavoring at all.

On the smoke, earth, wood smoke, leather, and a bready sweetness stand out; the taste comes entirely from the leaf itself. Since it doesn't go through a pressure-cooking stage, it's intense in nicotine and needs to be thinly sliced and smoked slowly.
