Spirit of Scotland

Spirit of Scotland is the current name of Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s aromatic blend previously sold as American Whiskey. It's made by combining sweet Virginia and Burley leaf with double-fermented black Cavendish; the mixture is flavored with a measured whiskey topping.

In the coarse-cut, predominantly black-looking tobacco, golden-brown strands appear here and there; since moisture isn't excessive, packing and lighting are easy. On the smoke, vanilla and caramel notes combine with the whiskey to give a soft taste reminiscent of bourbon, with a dried-fruit association in the background. An entry for those wanting an aromatic with measured nicotine, fit for all-day smoking.
