Latakia Flake-40 is a Turkish-made blend from Gladora Tobacco using leaf grown and processed on the company's own fields. Virginia, Latakia, and Turkish Orientals are pressed and sliced into flake; the 40 in the name refers to the blend's Latakia ratio. The version distributed in the European market under the name Pesse Canoe carries the same composition.

A woody smokiness leads on the smoke; the Virginia's natural sweetness, reminiscent of plum and dried fruit, and the Orientals' spicy dryness balance that smoke. There is no flavoring.
