Urban Legend

Urban Legend is an entry in Gurkha's pipe tobacco line that combines the English blending approach with American structure. Virginia and Burley leaf form the body; a small amount of Latakia and Perique serve as spice. A light coffee-like topping reminiscent of mocha is applied, and the tobacco is pressed and then coarsely rubbed out for packing.

The pressed, coarsely broken structure gives a slow, cool burn. On the palate, Burley's nutty, earthy line and Virginia's sweetness stand out; Perique leaves dark fruit and Latakia a faint smokiness. Since the topping is applied in moderation, it isn't fully aromatic; it's a middle-ground entry for smokers who move between flavored and unflavored blends.
