Admiralty

Admiralty is a Latakia-forward English mixture within American blender Russ Ouellette's Hearth & Home series. It is a relative of Armada in the same series; it differs from Armada by containing no Perique and by keeping a higher Latakia share. Red Virginia leaf forms a distinct sweetness and body at the base; Oriental tobaccos leave a spicy line beneath the smoke.

It gives a heavy volume of smoke and finishes without leaving weight on the palate. It is unflavored, and while the flavor intensity is high, nicotine stays in the moderate range. True to its name's naval reference, it follows a classic English mixture line; suited to smokers wanting a blend that centers Latakia without reducing it to a single note.
