American Heritage

American Heritage is a blend in Russ Ouellette's Hearth & Home series that combines American Burley tradition with English blending sensibility. Its composition includes aged Burley leaf, red Virginia, Turkish tobacco, and Latakia. Burley forms the blend's backbone; red Virginia adds sweetness, Turkish tobacco adds spice, and Latakia adds a measured layer of smoke.

It smokes cool, spicy but light overall. Since the Latakia ratio is kept low, it stays approachable even for those unaccustomed to the smoke of heavier English mixtures. Being on the light side for nicotine, it suits all-day smoking; it serves as a stepping stone for smokers wanting to move from Burley-based blends toward Latakia.
