Delta Days is an unflavored blend that combines the toasted sweetness of aged red Virginia with dark mahogany Burley and a substantial portion of Perique. Perique is a pressure-fermented tobacco produced in Louisiana's Mississippi delta, and it lends the blend a plummy, peppery bite.
The Burley's presence gives it a fuller body and nutty depth than typical Virginia-Perique blends, yet the taste stays even rather than jagged. Well suited to smokers who want Perique's spice but are after something heartier than a blend leaning solely on Virginia sweetness.
