Knotty Pine

Knotty Pine is the only English mixture in Hearth & Home's Slow-Aged series. Tobacco composed of Latakia, Virginia, Oriental, and some Burley for body is first cut into broken flake, then re-pressed into a crumble cake and left in the press for a month to let the leaves mature.

This process melds the blend's flavors together and softens and settles Latakia's smoky, resinous character. Aimed at smokers accustomed to hand-crumbling cake tobacco who love dark, smoky mixtures; it falls into the class of heavier-bodied recipes favored in cooler seasons.
