Magnum Opus

Magnum Opus is a full-bodied English blend with Cyprian Latakia as its base, joined by yellow Virginia and select Oriental varieties such as Izmir, Basma, and Yenidje. Records indicate the Latakia ratio runs around forty percent and Perique around eight percent; part of the Virginia is Bulgarian in origin. The smoke is smoky and sweet, with pronounced incense-like, spicy notes from the Oriental leaf.

The blend is among the brand's earliest Marquee series products. That series was established for products using costly Oriental leaf, hand-blended in small batches. Aimed at experienced smokers accustomed to intense Latakia and Oriental character who want an evening smoke.
