Old Kinderhook

Old Kinderhook is a cherry-flavored blend belonging to one of Hearth & Home's place-name-inspired series. It is built from a combination of Burley, Virginia, and toasted black Cavendish leaf; the cherry note comes through in both taste and aroma.

The sharp bite on the tongue common to cherry-flavored mixtures is said not to be pronounced in this recipe; the black Cavendish ratio softens the blend. It was a light-to-medium bodied option for smokers seeking a cherry aromatic; the blend is no longer in production.
