Red Eye

Red Eye is Hearth & Home's first spun-cut blend. On opening the tin, coin-shaped slices are seen with fire-cured dark leaf at the center; matured Virginia and a considerable proportion of Perique wrap around this core. It takes its name from this eye-like cross-section as well.

The smoky leaf at the roll's center and the sweet-spicy structure of the outer ring burn together with every draw; the taste swings between dried fruit and pepper. The slices are rubbed out by hand before filling. It suits those accustomed to Perique-heavy blends and looking for a full-bodied smoke.
