Viprati

Viprati is a Virginia-Perique blend in which three separate Virginia leaves are combined with a notable proportion of Perique and a small amount of fire-cured leaf. Its base is made up of sweet bright and ripe red Virginia; Perique adds seasoning in the direction of spice and plum, while the fire-cured leaf adds a light smoky layer in the background.

The blend bears the name of Italian pipe maker Luigi Viprati and was prepared at his request for something close to the classic VaPer style he loved. It's an unflavored mixture; it's aimed at smokers looking for a Virginia-Perique that's spicy but keeps its sweetness. It's part of the brand's Marquee line.
