Captain Earle's - Nightwatch

Nightwatch is one of the high-Latakia English mixtures in the Captain Earle's line. Latakia, Oriental leaves, Virginias, and Perique are pressed into a crumble cake; the cake is rubbed out by hand before filling. Latakia smoke builds the blend's backbone, the Orientals add a dry, herbal edge, and Perique gives a spicy-plummy accent. It's a structure meant for sitting and following the smoke rather than all-day smoking.

Like the rest of the line, this blend is also produced at Cornell & Diehl's facilities for Hermit Tobacco Works, and takes its name from the 19th-century whaling ship captain James A. M.
