Emerald Isle

Emerald Isle is the new name for a Holger Danske blend previously sold as Sherry and Whiskey (S.W.). Its composition includes Virginia, Burley, black Cavendish, and Oriental leaves; a honey-like sweet flavoring along with a whiskey note is applied on top. It's prepared in a wide, irregular (wild cut) cut.

The light smokiness and spice brought by the Oriental leaf ties together the whiskey aroma and the black Cavendish's sweetness; Burley carries the body. Being light in nicotine, the blend suits those looking for a liqueur-flavored but not heavy aromatic. The brand is Danish in origin, with production today handled by Mac Baren.
