Mango and Vanilla

Mango and Vanilla is one of the aromatic blends from the Danish brand Holger Danske. The base of the ribbon-cut leaves is Virginia; the blend also contains a small proportion of Burley, while black Cavendish isn't used. The flavoring is mango and vanilla, and both make themselves clearly known in both the dry aroma and the smoke.

Since the blend can come out of the tin fairly moist, a brief airing before filling is a common practice. The mango flavor, dominant in the first half of the smoke, masks the tobacco's own character to some degree; in later stages Burley comes forward and a cool, mild smoke continues. Tongue bite and drooling are reportedly not pronounced. Being light in nicotine, it suits those looking for an aromatic blend that can be smoked over long periods during the day.
